ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Judging public health and safety and the maintenance of property values, the Zoning Board of Appeals decides cases involving zoning disputes and variances, appeals to the decision of the Zoning Enforcement Officer and licensing of motor vehicle establishments.  A variance to the zoning regulations may be granted if a hardship is proven.  Following Zoning Commission approval, the Zoning Board of Appeals endorses or denies plans to sell gasoline or repair or sell motor vehicles.  The DMV requires Zoning Board of Appeals approval before issuing a license to such a business.

All applications to the ZBA must be submitted to the Land Use Office by the end of the business day on the Submission Closing Date.
