Fishing season officially begins at sunrise on Saturday, April 18, 2009.  Licenses are required for persons 16 years and older fishing in inland waters. The cost of licensing is:

$20 for residents
$40 for non-residents
$16 for three day non-residents
FREE to senior citizens 65 and older

EFFECTIVE July 1, 2007 per PA07-133 SPORT LICENSES: CGS 26-29, 26-29a, 26-29b Licenses issued to any blind, mentally disabled or physically disabled person shall be a LIFETIME license.

$3.00        Resident Junior Trapping (12 to 15 years old)
$3.00        Resident Junior Firearms Hunting (12 to 15 years old)
FREE         Resident Over 65 Lifetime (Fishing/Hunting/Trapping)
$67.00    Non-resident Firearms Hunting
$40.00    Non-resident Fishing
$16.00    Non-resident 3-Day Fishing (3 consecutive days)
